We rant and worry, many times we miss it.
Don’t.
I have been reminded this week, as I am frequently in this job they call “the ministry”, of the fleetingness of life. A special lady and sweet friend, Autress Markham, went to be with the Lord yesterday.
She was one of those subtle, prayer warrior types. An encourager, full of wisdom. A great sense of humor, white headed, and country to the core. A mom, a grandmom, a strong believer. A saint.
She will be missed. Her faith now fulfilled.
Mrs. Markham went into the nursing home the week of Heather and I’s wedding. She was ecstatic for us. During my visits with her prior to our big day she shared some simple advice with me.
“2 things” she would say...
“Your marriage will be what you make it.”
and
“Enjoy every second, cause it’ll be over before you know it.”
"How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone." James 4:14
