Day 8 of #first13of2013Haiti

There are a few of types of food that are highly known within Haiti.  One of those foods is rice, as is within many third world countries.  Anyone who has been to Haiti has more than likely eaten Haitian rice and beans.  Rice is one of the main foods that #first13of2013Haiti funds will go towards purchasing for each orphanage.

50lbs of rice in Haiti costs approximately $25-$27 through the source from which we will purchase.  It is estimated that one of these bags of rice has the potential to last 10-15 days, if proportioned correctly, within one of the orphanages #first13of2013Haiti is striving to help.

Want to buy some rice???

If not, totally cool, but we do plead for your prayers for these children!  Both physically and spiritually.  Thanks in advance!  Giving options provided below.  To Christ be the Glory.

"Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
 John 6:35

FYI: God has made a way for #first13of2013Haiti to conclude with Heather and I on the ground in Haiti!!!  Some great friends of ours, Jason and Joy Standridge, will be traveling alongside us. We leave Friday, January 11th and return Monday, January 14th.

We will be visiting each orphanage that #first13of2013Haiti exists to aide.    Though we will get to see our boy(Praise God), the main focus of this weekend trip is to further assess the condition of the 5 orphanages.  As well as, to ensure the greatest level of financial stewardship and accurate distribution of funds collected from the #first13of2013Haiti campaign.

We will post a blog on January 12th and January 13th with new pictures and direct insight into the lives, your giving is impacting.  Praise God that He involves us in His work.  We highly covet your prayers and again, we THANK YOU for your giving!
