Rowen...20 Months

Never thought I could long for something as much as I do for this little man to be in our arms and in our home right now! There is not a minute (literally) that doesn't go by that I don't think about about our baby boy. We are still constantly praying for his homecoming and praying that it comes soon!

In the meantime, we are learning to trust God like we never have before. Its easy to say "have faith" and "trust in His timing", but neither Payton nor myself have ever been put in a place in our life where we have had to REALLY, REALLY trust God. The conclusion of Rowen's story is strictly dependent on Him. Even though we would not want it any other way, its HARD! We can't see the outcome. We can't control the circumstances. And we have no clue what the time frame look likes. 

All that to say we have been clinging to "faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see" in a whole different way.


God is faithful! He is teaching us, stretching us, and sanctifying us. It hurts, but it is what we desire!


None the less, Rowen is 20 months old today, and we praise God for a happy and healthy baby regardless of where he is......
