Foolish Faith

Noah looked foolish building an ark.Sarah looked foolish buying maternity clothes at ninety. David looked foolish attacking Goliath with a sling shot. The wisemen looked foolish following the "yonder" star.Peter looked foolish trying to walk on water. And Jesus looked foolish hanging half-naked on the cross. The fear of looking foolish keeps us hog-tied and locked in the basement. We'd rather look like, talk like, dress like, and become like everybody else.Something invaluable and irreplaceable is lost when we cave in to conformity. We lose personality, we lose originality, and at some point; we lose our soul.......settling for something less than God intended.Fact: If you arent willing to look foolish, you're foolish. FAITH is the willingness to look foolish......Noah was saved from the flood.Sarah gave birth to Isaac.David defeated Goliah. The wisemen found the Messiah.Peter walked on water. And Jesus rose from dead. All because the fear of foolishness was absent and the FAITH to be foolish was present. 1 Corinthians 1:27
"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him."
