"Pure Joy".....

is what we're trying to consider, just like James 1:2 encourages!

Payton has been experiencing slight pain in his upper abdomen/chest. After much convincing, he finally cooperated and went to the doctor Monday morning. Thankfully after a few tests, his heart was ruled out as the culprit and all of his blood work came back very normal. However, the tests did reveal a questionable spot on his colon.(I know, totally different area but thankfully his doctor is very thorough)

This morning he had a CAT scan in order to get a better look at the spot. We received results shortly after the exam; and since the spot is still visible and happens to be surrounded by lymph nodes, we will have a colonoscopy tomorrow at noon. Our understanding, as of now, is that He is sovereign.

The doctor's predictions vary, but we are praying and believing that it is minor. Either an infection, an irritation, or just some scar tissue from a previous surgery on his appendix and small intestine.

Regardless of the results, we trust and believe any trial or source of suffering we may experience is simply Him giving us opportunity! Opportunity to trust Him, opportunity to rest in Him, and opportunity to testify to you about Him!

It is very HUMBLING and THOUGHT PROVOKING as this small trial is faced.

Humbling because:
you immediately think of all of those who are going through so much worse and you see how much those around you love and care about you.

Thought provoking because:
when everything is all of a sudden not right, it makes you more appreciative for all that is right.
And you realize how precious the Life. is that He has given you.

Praise God for the many blessings of this life! And praise God on HIGH for the access to PEACE and JOY in the midst of trials!

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Now, back to finishing this whole gallon of magic "cleansing" potion before going to bed....

Pacing/marching around the house(for some reason this makes drinking the not so tasty potion easier for Payt)and....

6 hours later, we're done with the "potion." Night.

P.S. Whole point of this specific blog is to fulfill what we feel He has called us to through this blog...TRANSPARENCY and REALNESS! Also, may you and may we be challenged to truly live with a genuine, THANKFUL spirit!

P.S.S. Body of believers that read this blog, please, join us in praying and believing!

P.S.S.S. Stay Tuned for His faithfulness to be revealed!
