She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
It is only through our time with the Lord that we have the capability of gaining instruction and wisdom over the knowledge of our relationships and over our families. Psalms tells us to write His word on the tablet of our hearts so that our speech is full of grace and seasoned with salt. The Lord encourages time with Him not only because He desires to speak and listen to His children, but He knows how beneficial it is for us and for those around us. Our tongue is a deadly weapon and Matthew 12 tells us that we will be held accountable for every idle word that comes out of our mouths. Therefore, it is not just important, but it is vital that our time and communication with the Lord throughout our day out weighs anything else we meditate and ponder on.
When I marinate in the things that have made me mad or disappointed, my actions and speech reflect that of my flesh. But when I consistently place my focus on Him and His word, His Spirit is alive and evident, giving me the power to address life circumstances and operate in my relationships with grace and love.......ask Payton. He'll testify to this one :).
"For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks." Matthew 6:45.
Only through time in His Word do we gain:
Time away from the Word breeds the work of the flesh:
Fits of Anger
Pride in Possessions
Theres a time to speak and theres a time to listen, ask the Lord for more discipline in His Word, so that His Spirit can give you the wisdom and instruction when needed.
