We had a long, fun weekend packed with spending time with family and friends, and its weekends like these that I don't ever want to end. Its hard these days to get everyone together with the busyness of every one's schedules and the hustle and bustle of the Holidays coming up......we thoroughly enjoy every bit of it of the exhaustion and all the running around the weekend demanded.Thursday night, we joined Jana, Will, and Beca at Workplay to enjoy a group called Straight No Chaser. Its a group of about 11 guys who sing everything acapella. Instruments and all are solely done with their mouths. They were extremely talented and we were quite impressed.....I think after the show was over, they gained 5 more groupies.
They come back in the Spring and I think we'll be paying them another visit....
Friday morning I had a bridesmaid lunch-in for one of my close friends, Emily, who got married this weekend. I had the privilege of being one of her SEVENTEEN bridesmaids. Friday morning the wedding festivities began, and I was so thankful to have my chauffeur with me. He was a trooper.....
The lunch-in was at The Club
and all 17 us enjoyed some great company with each other and with the bride...... what a pretty group!
After the lunch-in we had some time to stop by and visit these precious faces
Miller was so excited to see Payton and of course so was Tucker....
Friday night we got all dressed up and headed to the church for the rehearsal.......
and then had a delicious dinner at the Tutwiler Hotel.
Saturday morning we were able to squeeze in our annual family Christmas picture.....here is a sneak preview. Between a baby and two dogs we were somewhat limited with our location and creativity....but we managed to pull it off in an all time record of......ten minutes. That's NEVER happened before. Its usually an all day event.
Then for the main event Saturday night, after 4 hours of pictures.......the ceremony took place at an old church in downtown Birmingham
and we gathered with family and friends at the reception at Work Play.
Livi thoroughly enjoyed herself listening and dancing to the music.
I was so proud of this trooper.....he stuck it through 2 events that every guy dreads (or at least the guys in my family do)....family pictures and wedding festivities with no complaints and all smiles....
The pod plus Lana reunited......Jana, Lana (meet Lana on her debut next Monday), and Duren.
Even through the hustle and bustle of the weekend, we did get to enjoy some down town
and definitely looked forward to a day of rest on Sunday.Hope everyone else enjoyed their weekend as much we all did.
