Take a Bath

Sometimes I underestimate the power of God's Word and the unlimited access of communication we have through prayer and the effects it could have on our lives if we allowed. I don't take advantage of it enough, and then wonder why life's circumstances and challenging decisions seem impossible to conquer when coming face to face with them. Ive been challenged and encouraged over the past couple weeks to take advantage of what has been given to me. If we begin bathing our lives and the lives around us in prayer and in Scripture, the enemy has been defeated before he even has time to attempt to devour. The very thing he wants to do is pluck out our resources to God himself and strip us of our ammunition.

"For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edge sword cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It expenses our innermost thoughts and desires." Hebrews 4:12

God gave us His word, not to tickle our ears, but to use as a defense mechanism against our enemy. How many times do we pray and beg for God to help and save us from life's difficulties?Hes already helped you......Hes given you the most powerful resource anyone could offer and He wants you to put it to use. I encourage you to dig deeper and deeper into His Word and to bathe others and yourself in prayer. The enemy and his crew HAS to flee when they hear the name Jesus. I'm no scholar, but it makes sense to me the more we stayed covered in Scripture and prayer; the harder is it for the enemy to be victorious over our lives.
